The Gustine Lady Redskins opened practices last Monday in preparation for rejoining the Southern League after a four-year stint in the Western Athletic Conference.

Gustine has a number of returning players looking forward to a clean slate in their new league, and the Lady Redskins will strive to develop a more aggressive approach on the court this season.

Coach Bryan Hall is returning for a third year, and is devoting early practice time to developing a stronger offensive attack this season.

“We had a pretty solid defense last season that held us in some tough spots but we were simply unable to put down points,” Hall noted. “Our practices are going to be focusing on more of a general attack rather than having to field and convert points off of hard and solid hits from the other team.”
