Services will be held Tuesday for Ann Marie Sanders of Newman, who died Aug. 25.

She was 49.

Mrs. Sanders was a native of San Mateo. She lived in Newman for 17 years, after previously residing in Redwood City.

She worked as a waitress for many years.

Mrs. Sanders was a member of the Modesto Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family and quilting.

She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Sanders Jr. of Newman; three sons, James Harley Brown of Salinas, Richard Earl Sanders III of Newman (currently serving in the Marine Corps in Iraq) and Joseph Jorge Sanders of Newman; two daughters, Jennifer C. Metzger of Mokelumne Hill and Jamie Lee Sanders of Santa Barbara; two sisters, Linda Marie Boland of Newark and Donna Marie Romero of Nevada; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Clementina Tessier, and a sister, Marie Elaine Romero.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 11 a.m. to noon at Hillview Funeral Chapel, Newman, with a funeral service to follow.

Burial will be in Hills Ferry Cemetery.
