Gustine High School athletes turned in a number of strong performances at a Western Athletic Conference track meet held Thursday at Hilmar.

Following are the local results.

Men’s results

Varsity

Jose Gonzalez-Mejia placed second in the 3200 meters with an 11:38.59 effort, and was sixth in the 1600 meters with a 5:21.41 time.

Josh Goudy placed 13th in the 100 meters at 13.18, and was 18th in the 200 meters at 26.43.

Kenny Zimmerman was seventh in the 3200 meters with a 12:59.11 time, and placed 12th in the 1600 meters at 5:52.16.

Zach May placed ninth in the shot put with a 35-0.75 throw. May was 17th in the discus with an 87-11 effort.

Gustine’s 4x100 relay team of Gonzalez-Mejia, Zimmerman, Josh Goudy and Oscar Flores was fourth with a time of 4:55.90.

Junior Varsity

Roman Puppo won the 100 meters with a time of 11.81 seconds. He was third in the long jump at 15-11.

Alan Flores won the 1600 meters with a 5:31.59 showing, placed third in the 800 meters at 2:28. 43 and was third in the 3200 meters at 12:54.59.

Mason Rogers was 10th in the 100 meters with a 13.62 time.

Luis Morales placed 11th in the 100 meters at 13.69 seconds. He was seventh in the 200 meters with a 29.18 showing.

Alberto Luna posted a second-place finish in the 400 meters. His time was 1:02.37.

David Mattie was fourth in the 400 meters with a 1:03.05 effort, took fifth in the 3200 meters at 13:55.43 and finished ninth in the 800 meters at 2:45.02.

Joseph Gonzalez was ninth in the 400 meters at 1:13.9 and finished 13th in the 800 meters at 2:55.37.

Brett Chaves placed 10th in the 400 meters with a 1:17.4 showing.

Felipe Jimenez finished fourth in the 3200 meters at 13:37. He placed 13th in the 1600 meters. His time was 7:15.

Gustine’s 4x100 relay team of Luna, Daniel Gardner, Flores and Puppo took third with a 51.68 effort.

The same team placed second in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:14.21.

Raul Lopez was ninth in the shot put at 30-6.25.

Luis Robles placed 10th in the discus at 76-3 and was 13th in the shot put with a throw of 29-3-75.

Luis Gonzalez finished ninth in the discus with a 76-6 toss, and was 14th in the shot put at 29-3.

Eddie Morris was 18th in the discus at 43-8, and finished 21st in the shot put at 20-4.25.

Gardner finished sixth in the long jump with a 15-2 showing.

Women’s Results

Meghan Azevedo placed 14th in the discus with a 56-2 throw. She was 17th in the shot put at 19-10.

Beatriz Tavares finished 16th in the shot put with a throw of 19-10.5. She was 21st in the 100 meters with a 15.49 time, and placed 24th in the 200 meters at 33.87.
