Mrs. Ervin-Ruiz was a native of Los Banos.

She was a 1962 graduate of Gustine High School.

Mrs. Ervin-Ruiz had lived in Gustine for 10 years.

She worked as a bank supervisor for 30 years, and also worked many years for the Gustine Antique Store.

She was a parishioner at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles, and belonged to the Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her son, James Frank Ruiz of Gustine; a daughter, Melinda Demientieff of Alaska; her parents, Julius and Jesse Scesa of Gustine; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ruiz.

Graveside services were held Wednesday in Hills Ferry Cemetery.

Hillview Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
