Long-time Stevinson resident Emma-Lee Clara Farris, 73, passed away Feb. 9 at Mercy Medical Center, Merced.

Mrs. Farris was a native of Hanford. She lived in Stevinson for 42 years.

She was an instructional aide at Hilmar High School for many years.

She was a member of the Stevinson Chapel.

Mrs. Farris is survived by a son, Fred Farris of Stevinson; two daughters, Linda Gomes of Stevinson and Jennifer Marsh of Modesto; two brothers, James Puls II of Waterford and Ernest Puls of Colorado; two sisters, Lynn Ellen Crawford of Washington and Carolyn Bartlett of Oklahoma; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Farris, in 2004.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 15, from 1-2 p.m. at the Stevinson Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Hillview Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
