The very moment that FFA members and 4-H members who love showing look forward to is the Stock Show. On March 2, Gustine High School held the annual stock show. Here, species such as hogs, lambs, beef cattle, and goats were shown. This grants students new to showing an opportunity to see how the May Day fair will go. Thank you to all the sponsors who continue to make this event possible, and to all the members of Gustine for coming out to support these talented livestock exhibitors.
Exhibiting the beef cattle, Natalie Ventura, Westyn Verissimo, and Heston Duarte were representing FFA. Congratulations to Westyn for winning Reserve Supreme Champion Heifer, and he moved on to Round Robin. Congratulations to those who showed.
Hog exhibitors were Jake Campbell, Delaney Medeiros, Azul Ortiz, Ayden Pacheco, Emilia Galindo, Nick Ventura, Blake Vaz, Michael Salsa, Natalie Ventura, Reese Carlucci, and Heston Duarte. Congratulations to Michael Salsa for winning Supreme Champion Hog and Blake Vaz for winning Reserve Supreme Champion Hog. Blake Vaz also moved on to Round Robin!
Lamb exhibitors included a talented group of members like Olivia Rocha, Mark Silveira, Baylor Bloom, Carson Bell, Lluvia Gonzalez, Allison Herrera Araiza, Ileen Sepulveda, Ximena Gomez, Josie Nunes, David Farias, Brook Villnow, Kimberly Gutierrez, Michelle Nunes, Hector Flores, Luke Avila, Carlos Rangel, Jeffery Camara, Xelha Pantoja, Gisselle Caballero, Yasmine Martinez, Freddy Sanchez, Elizabeth Meza, and Justin Lopes. A job well done by all who showed lambs and congratulations to Baylor Bloom for winning FFA Champion and Carson Bell for winning Reserve Champion. The overall market Champion was Baylor Bloom, and he won showmanship to move on to Round Robin
The Goat showing team for FFA was Avery Etheridge, Malissa Nunes, Noel Hernandes, Dominic Alves, Jaquieline Chaves, Kaylah Bedford, Weston Verismo, Biviana Chaves, Isabella Benge, Denyze Elizalde, Madeline Alves, Ruby Sepulveda, Austin Etheridge, Isabella Cortez, Leilah Fara, Dayanara Gomez, Kolby Watts, Cheyanne Verissimo, Ryan Barcellos, Kylee Lopes, Crue Correa, Juliana Martinez, Madeline Villnow and Hazel Marie Lopes. Congratulations to those who won their market class and showmanship. Huge congratulations to Ryan Barcellos for winning Supreme Goat and Crue Correa for winning Reserve. Ryan Barcellos moved on to Round Robin.
Round Robin is a goal that all exhibitors hope to achieve. Here, all participants showcase their ability to work with not just their species, but also show other animals. There is an overall winner for FFA and an overall winner for 4-H. Blake Vaz, Baylor Bloom, Ryan Barcellos, and Westyn Verissimo competed for the title of Master Showman. Competing in 4-H were Nathan Lopes, Brinley Martin, Jonah Souza, and Audrey Etheridge. Huge congratulations to Ryan Barcellos and Nathan Lopes for winning the master showman title and belt buckle! Your talent and skill were seen.
