On November 30th, our local community held its annual project competition where 9 FFA members presented their innovative posters and gave demonstrations to the judges about their topic. The three judges who had the tough task of evaluating the projects were Stephen Moitozo, Robert Borba, and Rob Alamo.
This month’s Christmas-themed FFA Meeting was accompanied by a chocolate fountain and an ugly sweater contest! Members had the pleasure of attending the meeting wearing their best ugly sweaters and then competing to win a ring. The winner of the ugly sweater contest was Gustine Greenhand Kylee Lopes. Different snacks were available at the meeting for members to pick and dip into the chocolate fountain if they so desired.
As 2023 ends, Gustine FFA’s judging teams and speaking competitions are beginning to start up. Members are working hard over Christmas break to accumulate knowledge in their respective competitions. Judging teams like meats, dairy products, soil, floral, and livestock judging are available for the members to join and participate in. In addition to these judging teams, there are speaking competitions that members can participate in such as creed, impromptu, and job interview. As the new year kicks in, Gustine FFA members are already gearing up to prepare for upcoming competitions. With determination and hard work, they are guaranteeing a successful new year upcoming in 2024.
Happy New Year from Gustine FFA to You!
