On the 13th of December the Gustine Lions Club held their annual canned food drive along with the Miss Gustine court’s annual toy drive, in an effort to help local families in need. Westside 4-H members helped wrap presents and organize canned goods donated to the event.
Westside 4-H held their annual county wide dance on December 6th where they collected over 100 of the toys that were donated to the toy drive. It brings our 4H members and adult volunteers great joy and pleasure to help out those in need, especially during Christmas time when no one should have to go through stressful times.
Westside members also rang the Salvation Army Bell in front of the Gustine Post Office two Fridays in December. Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army is a cherished holiday tradition for our club that brings the community together to support those in need. Each ring symbolizes hope and generosity, reminding us of the true spirit of giving during the Christmas season. We even got a visit from Santa himself.
