1403 POM has found a new owner in Gina Montgomery and is set to reopen its doors. 

A beloved boutique fashion destination in the heart of the community will begin to set sail on a new journey. The grand opening event is set to take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at 1403 Main St., marking the beginning of a new era under the ownership of Orestimba alumni, Montgomery.

Previous owner Kady Pometta made the announcement in January that she would bending her run overseeing the boutique. There’s no doubt that Montgomery is a great fit. She is a familiar name in the local retail community and is ready to breathe new life into 1403 POM.

“This came along and I just was thrilled,” said Montgomery. “I was in the process of helping Kady putting feelers out, to see if I can find somebody to buy it, and I thought ‘why not you?’”

The decision to purchase 1403 POM was a natural progression for Montgomery, considering her background in entrepreneurship. Raised in a family where her father owned a small chain of grocery stores, the spirit of business and community service runs in the family. Montgomery, a multi-talented creative, currently practices as a massage therapist and works as a Realtor, showcasing her diverse skill set.

Despite the change in ownership, Montgomery is committed to preserving the essence of 1403 POM. The boutique will retain its familiar name to Montgomery’s understanding of the business and her dedication to maintaining its integrity.

“I know the shop, and I understand the business that Kady has built. And I want to keep the integrity of the business. I know that the shop does well for the community,” said Montgomery.

As the shop gears up for the grand reopening. Montgomery said that new products, such as plus sizes and home décor, will add to the already great assortment of collections. Montgomery, I eager to write the next chapter of 1403 POM.
