Westside residents welcomed the long-anticipated Family Dollar & Dollar Tree combo store during its soft opening on Jan. 11. On its first day, opening their doors at 8 a.m., the community filled the parking lot to attend the store’s unveiling.

Locals eagerly awaited the establishment since the Gustine Planning Commission approved it in August of 2021.

The soft opening marked the first opportunity for residents to explore the combo store. From household essentials to affordable decorations, the store aims to cater to diverse consumer needs. Local shoppers took advantage of the early opportunity to browse through the aisles, discovering the convenient selection that the Family Dollar & Dollar Tree combo store brings to the Gustine community.

Although the soft opening was a significant milestone for the store, it is not the end of their celebrations. Plans are in place for an official grand opening ceremony contingently scheduled for February. The store management expressed their gratitude for the warm reception during the soft opening and looks forward to establishing itself as a valuable asset to the Gustine community during the upcoming official launch in February.
