Celebrate the holidays at Newman’s Christmas Downtown
newman christmas tree prep

The holiday season is upon us and the Newman Chamber of Commerce invites the community to join in the festivities at the Christmas Downtown, happening from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday on Saturday in the Newman Downtown Plaza.

This family-friendly event is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit with an afternoon full of festive activities, delicious food, and holiday cheer.

One highlight of the afternoon will be the first-ever Christmas Tree Silent Auction, featuring beautifully decorated trees by Orestimba High School classes and the Newman FFA. Each tree will showcase unique themes and creativity, and all proceeds from the auction will support local student programs and activities.

The Downtown Plaza will come alive with a variety of food vendors offering seasonal favorites like sweet treats, and hot cocoa. Artisan booths will feature handcrafted gifts and holiday décor, making it a great opportunity to find unique presents for loved ones.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, live entertainment will keep attendees entertained throughout the event, with music and performances that celebrate the joy of the season.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to greet families and take photos, making it a magical experience for children and parents alike.

The day will culminate with the beloved tradition of the Christmas Tree Lighting in the Downtown Plaza. As night falls, the community will gather to watch the dazzling tree come to life, marking the official start of the holiday season in Newman.

This festive event is open to all and promises to be a joyful celebration of community, tradition, and holiday magic.
