The Gustine High School Future Business Leaders of America are spearheading a heartfelt holiday initiative to bring joy to local families in need. Partnering with the Gustine Traveling Library and the Gustine Downtown Business Association, the FBLA is hosting a Shoe Box Donation Drive, inviting the community to make a difference one box at a time.

The donation drive calls for community members to fill shoe boxes with a variety of items, such as school supplies, toys, clothing, and personal care items. Examples of suggested contributions include pencils, crayons, frisbees, building blocks, flip-flops, toothbrushes, and more. Each box represents an opportunity to spread kindness and provide essential items to children and families during the holiday season.

“Our goal is to encourage students and the community to come together for a cause that truly impacts lives,” said Alan Ward, the FBLA advisor at Gustine High School. “This project is a chance for students to showcase their leadership skills while giving back to the community.”

Shoe box donations can be dropped off in Ward’s classroom, Room 11, at Gustine High School. The final day to contribute is Dec. 6. Once collected, the FBLA will work with its partners to ensure the boxes are distributed to those in need.

The Shoe Box Donation Drive is part of the FBLA’s ongoing efforts to promote community service and leadership among its members. Through initiatives like this, the organization not only strengthens its ties with the local community but also instills the importance of empathy and social responsibility in future business leaders.
