The Gustine Lions Club, in partnership with the Gustine Police Department and the Miss Gustine Court, is hosting its annual Canned Food Drive and Toy Drive to bring holiday cheer to local families in need. The donation deadline is set for Friday, Dec. 13, with multiple ways for community members to contribute.
This dual-purpose event aims to collect canned food items and toys to brighten the holiday season for Gustine residents.
Residents living within Gustine city limits can place their donations on their front porch between 5 PM and 8 PM on December 13th and text their address to 209-740-5761 for pickup. For those outside city limits, donations can be dropped off at one of the designated collection sites:
• City Hall
• Gustine Police Department
• Dollar General
• Pioneer Drug
• Tri Counties Bank
• Coast to Coast
Additionally, donations can be dropped off at the Al Goman Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 13.
The event ensures that donated toys and canned goods reach families in need just in time for the holiday season. This drive is a vital part of ensuring that everyone in Gustine experiences the joy of the holidays.
The event’s success relies heavily on the generosity of the Gustine community. Every can, every toy, and every act of kindness adds up to make a huge impact.
For additional details or questions about the drive, community members can contact Joe at 209-620-4024. Those interested in receiving assistance must coordinate with GUSD nurses to process their requests.
Don’t miss the chance to give back and make this holiday season brighter for families in need across Gustine.
