The Westside community came together for a somber memorial to the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. Participants started at the old bowling alley and proceeded with candles to the Veterans Memorial Hall. The walk brought out members of Gustine 4-H, Gustine FFA, the Gustine royal court, and the Gustine Fire Department along with dozens of community members. This annual event serves as a solemn occasion for the community to reflect, honor, and stand together in solidarity.
