Native Sons of the Golden West
The Native Sons of the Golden West will hold their meeting on Dec. 5 at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Gustine. Thos wishing to play cards can come at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Bingo will follow. RSVP at 209-918-1451.
Orestimba 50+ Club
The Orestimba 50+ Club Christmas Party will be held at noon on Dec. 6. The dinner will be turkey, ham and all the trimmings. Whoever is participating should have their dinner money in on Nov. 15.
The last meeting of the year will be held on Friday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m.
Newman Animal Shelter
The Newman Animal Shelter offers free ID tags and collars at the police department and it is not limited to Newman residents. With stormy weather coming up, they want all pets to have the best chance at being reunited with their owners.

Wreaths Across America
The Wreaths Across American 2024 remembrance service will be at 9 a.m. on Dec. 14 at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella and at the Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman at 1 p. m. on Dec. 14. Wreaths are $17.00. For help with orders call Audrey McIntyre at 209-854-6094.

The teen manga book club for those 13 to 19 years old will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.
The adult book club will meet at 10 a.m. on Dec. 5.
Kids craft time, for those from 6 to 12 years old will be at 3 p.m. on Dec. 5.
Family Lego fun time will be at 1 p.m. on Dec. 7.
Newman Recreation Department
The Newman Recreation Department hosts dance therapy classes at the L.J. Newman Memorial Building every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The martial arts class of Kajukenbo is taught every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the L.J. Newman Memorial Building.
