Newman Fire Department

The Newman Fire Station responded to 23 calls for service from Jan. 24 to Jan. 31. The calls included 15 for Emergency Medical Services, four public assists, one vegetation fire, one other type of fire call, one residential fire alarm and one vehicle collision.

At 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 28, the Newman Station was dispatched for an unknown type of fire near Crows Landing Road and Carpenter Road. On arrival, the fire crews found a small shed fully involved and quickly extinguished the fire. The cause and damages are undetermined. There are no injuries to report.

At 7:48 p.m. on Jan. 30, the Newman Station was dispatched for a motor vehicle collision near N Street and Mariposa Street. On arrival, the fire crews located two vehicles blocking the roadway. Fire crews secured the vehicles and assessed patients. The cause of the incident is unknown, and there are no injuries to report. The damages are estimated at $40,000.

 

Gustine Fire Department

The Gustine Fire Department in cooperation with Cal Fire, responded to 21 calls for service from Jan. 20 to Jan. 26. The calls included nine for Emergency Medical Services, four alarm calls, four public assists, three motor vehicle collisions and one smoke check.
