The Newman Fire Station responded to 22 calls for service from Jan. 19 to Jan. 25. The calls included 13 for Emergency Medical Services, one hazmat call, one fire alarm, two public assists, one mutual aid call and four vehicle collisions.

At 11:12 p.m. on Jan. 21, the Newman Station was dispatched for a vehicle accident in the area of Interstate 5 and Davis Road. On arrival, the fire crew found a single vehicle off the roadway. The occupants had minor injuries and the damages are unknown. 

At 7:13 a.m. on Jan. 23, the Newman Station was dispatched to a vehicle collision in the area of Bell Road and Fink Road. On arrival, the fire crew found two vehicles with one partially blocking the roadway. The fire crews secured the vehicles, assessed the occupants, and controlled traffic. There were no injuries reported and damages were estimated at $17,000. 

At 11:31 a.m. on Jan. 25, the Newman Station was dispatched to a mutual aid for a structure fire in the City of Patterson. On arrival, the fire crew was assigned to assist in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Stanislaus County Fire Investigation Unit. There were no injuries to report and a damage estimate was not available. 

At 3:07 p.m. on Jan. 25, the Newman Station was dispatched to a vehicle versus a pedestrian in the area of Yolo Street and Q Street. On arrival, the fire crew found a pedestrian with obvious injuries. The vehicle was not at the scene on fire department arrival.
