Newman Police Department

The Newman Police Department received 71 calls for service and reported 104 officer-initiated calls for a total of 175 incidents from Feb. 21 to Feb. 27. There were 19 cases opened and seven arrests. The department issued three traffic citations, one criminal citation, 10 parking citations and one animal citation.

Arrests

A 12-year-old Newman girl was arrested on Feb. 21 for battery.

An unnamed 33-year-old Newman man was arrested on Feb. 22 for domestic violence.

Jimmy De La Cruz, 36, of Newman was arrested on Feb. 23 for violating a court order, smuggling a controlled substance into jail and possession of a controlled substance.

Steve Carmona, 42, of Newman was arrested on Feb. 25 for a warrant.

Lauren Espinoza, 29, of Newman was arrested on Feb. 25 for a warrant.

A 16-year-old Newman boy was arrested on Feb. 26 for vandalism and conspiracy.

Gustine Police Department

The Gustine Police Department had no arrests to report over the previous week.
