The Newman Police Department took a report of a vandalism on March 23 from the area of Cinnamon Teal and Sherman Parkway.  A hole had been drilled into the gas tank of a white GMC Sierra pickup truck, causing about $1,000 in damage.

James Pezel, 51, of Newman was arrested on March 21 for petty theft with two or more priors.

Joe Parra 32, of Gustine was arrested on March 21 for being under the influence, obstructing and/or resisting a peace officer, and warrants.

A 29-year-old unnamed Newman woman was arrested on March 22 for domestic violence.

Nathan Powell, 41, of Newman was arrested on March 23 for being a public nuisance.

Christopher Jones, 42, of Gustine was arrested on March 25 for driving on a license suspended for DUI and a warrant.

Daniel Contreras Astorga, 25, was arrested at 10:13 a.m. on March 22 in the 600 block of Wallis Avenue for disorderly conduct, under the influence and obstructing and/or resisting a peace officer.

Nicole Marie Nordgreen, 43, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. on March 22 in the 1400 block of Meredith Avenue for misdemeanor elder/dependent adult cruelty.

Fabian Angel Zavala, 59, was arrested at 4:18 p.m. on March 23 in the area of 5th Avenue and 7th Street for a warrant.

Katrina Madrigal, 44, was arrested at 2:46 p.m. on March 24 in the 900 block of Linden Avenue for battery and misdemeanor inflicting corporal injury on a child.

Nicole Marie Nordgreen, 43, was arrested at 3:28 p.m. on March 26 in the 1400 block of Meredith Avenue for disobeying a court order.
