Gustine Police Department

Suspicious incident

A burglar alarm went off around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 7 on Grove Avenue. An outdoor camera showed two females juveniles in the back yard.

 

Collision

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:55 a.m. Sept. 8 at Highway 140 and East Avenue. A pick-up truck and a semi-truck collided at the intersection, which caused a temporary blockage.

 

Suspicious incident

Police officers went to a home in the area of Lucerne Avenue and West Avenue on Sept. 11 after a report that a woman was possibly unconscious and that a man had been seeing running away and yelling profanity. The man did come back to the house and the incident was closed.

 

Disturbance

Around 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, an Edith Drive resident reported a disturbance with a neighbor. According to the call log, the reporting party and a neighbor got into an argument about dogs not being leashed. The reporting party said the male neighbor yelled expletives and threw an orange at his car. The individuals were separated and no arrests were listed.

 

Arrests

Manuel Anthony Martinez, 31, was arrested at 1:07 a.m. on Sept. 8 in the area of 5th Street and 5th Avenue for possession of a controlled substance, DUI, DUI of .08 or more and driving on a license suspended for DUI.

Amber Rene Johnson, 26, was arrested at 8:37 a.m. on Sept. 8 in the area of Highway 140 and East Avenue for DUI and traffic offenses.

Letitia Peck, 39, was arrested at 6:54 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the 300 block of Wallis Avenue for violation of a court order.

Kameron Michael Pecka, 40, was arrested at 6:41 p.m. on Sept. 13 in the area of 6th Street and 3rd Avenue for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

 

 

Newman Police Department

The Newman Police Department responded to 100 calls for service and reported 82 officer-initiated calls for a total of 182 incidents from Sept. 6 to Sept. 12.

There were 24 cases opened and 10 arrests made. The department issued nine traffic citations, two criminal citations, five parking citations and one animal citation. Three vehicles were towed.

 

Arrests

A 27-year-old Santa Nella woman was arrested on Sept. 6 for domestic violence, elder abuse, violation of a restraining order and battery against a correctional officer.

A 23-year-old Newman woman was arrested on Sept. 8 for battery on a spouse and disorderly conduct for alcohol.

Alessandro Diaz Villanueva, 23, of Newman was arrested on Sept. 8 for obstructing or resisting a peace officer and disorderly conduct for alcohol.

Blake Saenz, 36, of Newman was arrested on Sept. 8 for a warrant.

A 31-year-old Newman man was arrested on Sept. 9 for battery against a spouse.

A 33-year-old Newman woman was arrested on Sept. 9 for domestic violence.

Keith Bradley, 57, of Newman was arrested on Sept. 11 for driving on a suspended license and a warrant.

Kathy Kennedy, 54, of Newman was arrested on Sept. 11 for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant.

A 30-year-old Newman woman was arrested on Sept. 12 for domestic violence.
