Carolyn Elizabeth Fantazia, 96 of Gustine passed away on Tuesday, March 4th at San Luis Care Center of Newman .

Mrs. Fantazia was born in Gustine and was a lifelong resident of Gustine. She helped her dad on the dairy for 20 years, was a retail clerk for Azevedo’s hardware and worked at Andersons Pea Soup as well. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a parishioner of the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. She loved to read Danielle Steele and James Patterson novels and was a San Francisco 49er fan. She liked sketching, acrylic painting and the outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Fantazia is preceded in death by her husband, John Fantazia and son, Ronald Fantazia. She is survived in death by her son, Mike Fantazia; daughters, Karen (Bob) Edwards of Newman, Johnna (Mike) Hill of Los Banos, Kathy Hogue of Washington State and Linda Hood of Modesto, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held at 9:00am to 11:00am, followed by a Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. Interment to follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
