Jose Garcia, 68 of Newman passed away on March 29, 2024. 

Mr. Garcia was born May 5, 1955 in Moyahua, Zacatecas Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 14 and lived in Newman until his death. He was co -owner of Joe’s Landscaping & Concrete Inc. His wife and children were his pride and joy and he loved to travel with them. Jose also loved supporting his community anyway he could. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Garcia Sr. and Eloisa Plascencia; brothers, Pedro Garcia, Santiago Garcia and Bonifacio Garcia. He is survived by his children, Joe Garcia, Janet Figueroa, Yolanda Sanchez, Yoana Belo and Jaime Garcia; grandchildren, Alfredo Figueroa, Arely Reynoso, Jocelynn Sanchez, Juliana Figueroa, Fernanda Sanchez, Adrian Figueroa, Jose Garcia, Yolanda Sanchez, Salvador Garcia, Brayden Belo and Mauricio Garcia; siblings, Armando Garcia, Libier Ledezma and Yoen Estrada. 

A Visitation will be held 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by the Rosary at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 8, 2024 at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Newman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Newman. Internment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery.
