Maria Elfida Avila, 93, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side.

Ms. Avila, born in Pharr, Texas, resided in Newman Ca. for 42 years.

She is survived by her sons, Ruben E. Rocha and Albert Avila; her daughters, Maricela and Belinda Rocha and Sylvia Anaya. Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Francisco and Elivorio Garcia; sister, Manuela Garcia and granddaughter, Jennifer Garcia.

Private services will be held at a later date.
