Robert A Gomes, 83 of Gustine passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 in Merced. Robert was born on February 27, 1941 in Oakland, California and was adopted by Clarence and Julia Gomes shortly after his birth.

Robert was a longtime resident in Newman and Gustine, who loved all his family and friends, and cared for his precious mother for many, many years. He loved the animals on his small farm in Newman and enjoyed the years he spent at Green Acres Mobile Manor.

He is survived by his brother, Clarence Gomes; nephew, Gary Mello; nieces, Sharon Landeros, Linda Pires, Lorie Jamero, and a total of 45 great nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at 8:30 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Rosary/Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
