On the evening of October 15, 2024, Rosemarie Martin, 89, passed away peacefully with family by her side in Turlock California. Rosemarie was born on May 28,1935 to Manuel and Mary Miranda in Los Banos, California, where she grew up and graduated from Los Banos High School. Upon graduation she worked as a retail salesclerk for Mode Day Clothing Store. Soon thereafter she met her husband of 64 years Albert Martin. They got married on October 5, 1955. They resided in Los Banos, Turlock, Redwood City, and ultimately ended up in Gustine.
Rosemarie spent most of her career as a seasonal sanitation supervisor for Tri Valley Growers. During her off season she helped her husband manage the Salinas Land and Cattle Duck Club and worked as a receptionist at H&R Block in Gustine. Upon her husband’s retirement, they moved to Hilmar, but currently she resided at Cogir in Turlock. Rosemarie loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and recently a great grandmother. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and being surrounded by her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Martin; her daughter Jaqueline Bettencourt; her son-in-law, Ronnie Fernandes; her parents, Manuel and Mary Miranda; her twin sister Maryann Miranda, her brothers Manuel Miranda, Jr. and Albert Miranda and her sister Cecelia Watts. She is survived by her daughter, Toni, and her husband Danny Alamo; her grandchildren, Dusti, and her husband Anthony Martins; Michael Alamo; and great grandchild Jaxxson Martins.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with the Rosary at 6 p.m., on Sunday, October 27, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024. All services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Following the funeral, Rosemarie will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
