William (Bill) Coelho passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, in Turlock, CA. He was 83 years old.
Born on September 1, 1941, in Newman, CA, to Louis and Amy Coelho, Bill attended local grammar schools and graduated from Orestimba High School. He was a self-employed cattleman and retired from the State Department of Water Resources.
Bill lived on the Coelho Family Ranch and rodeo grounds in Newman before moving to Stevinson in 1993 where he continued his love of ranching. As a young man, he participated in rodeos throughout California in calf roping, steer wrestling, and team roping events.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Coelho of 25 years; son, Mark Coelho (Lisa) of Smithland, KY; daughter, Gina Dayton of Sacramento, CA; stepdaughter, Shannon Monterrosa of Madera, CA; stepson, Jed Davis of Selma, CA; sister, Judy Mackie of Farwell, MI, and brother Bob Coelho (Alice) of Redding, CA, and many step grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Amy Coelho and his brother Louis Coelho, Jr.
A Rosary will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine. Interment to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Stevinson.
