To the Editor:
The classmates of Orestimba High’s Class of 1968 would like to congratulate Mr. Justin Pruett for being named the new superintendent of Newman-Crows Landing School District.
The classmates of the Class of 68 meet frequently to discuss, review and seek the truth about our many adventures and escapades that took place nearly fifty-six years ago at Orestimba High. Although classmates are spread out from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the Northern Border to the Southern Border, we still find ways through technology to ask the inevitable questions; Did that really happen? He batted left-handed in Little League. Why did she say and do that? Still, important questions that never seem to get answered to everyone’s satisfaction.
Mr. Pruett, and Orestimba High participants created an atmosphere at all three All-Class Reunions that we attended that reminded us of the spirit and atmosphere that we experienced while attending our four years at Orestimba High. The talk at all three All-Class reunions was the close attention to organization and detail, and we felt the strength and camaraderie of the students and staff working together moving toward an even higher level of excellence.
The Class of 1968 Classmates are delighted to hear that the new superintendent for Newman-Crows Landing School district is Mr. Justin Pruett. We know that Mr. Pruett will continue a standard of excellence in academic studies, meet the standards of State and Federal guidelines, and see that all students will be put on the road to success and have the tools to make a positive contribution to our society.
