They put the hurt on the Stone Ridge Knights with a sharp 14-1 win on Wednesday.
Gustine’s Eric Mora was a massive factor in the win as he booted in six goals all by himself and had one assist. The other eight goals were each scored by eight different Gustine players.
The victory made it two in a row for Gustine and bumps their season record up to 7-6. They’re sitting in second place in the Southern League with a record of 7-2. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gustine will take on the Waterford Wildcats at Waterford High School at 5 p.m. on Feb. 5. Waterford has a record of 9-8.
