Gustine struggled to generate offensive momentum, unable to break through Denair's defense.
The halftime score remained 1-0 in favor of Denair.
Gustine came out with renewed energy in the second half. Their increased aggression paid off when #18 Shandel Aguilar scored the equalizer at the 21-minute mark, tying the game 1-1.
However, Denair quickly responded. Denair’s Padilla, a standout player throughout the match, converted a penalty kick, putting Denair back in the lead 2-1. Just minutes later, she struck again, delivering a perfectly placed shot over the Gustine goalkeeper's head to extend Denair's advantage to 3-1.
Gustine fought back, earning a penalty kick of their own. Reds #7 Anahi Alvarez stepped up and calmly slotted the ball home, narrowing the gap to 3-2. Despite their efforts, time ran out for Gustine.
In extra time, Denair's Padilla sealed the victory with yet another penalty kick, completing her hat-trick and bringing the final score to 4-2.
While the match was a closely contested battle, Denair's ability to capitalize on penalty kicks proved to be the deciding factor. Two goals from the spot, along with two field goals, ultimately secured the win for Denair. Gustine fought hard, but couldn't overcome Denair's offensive firepower.
