Gustine entered their tilt with Waterford on Thursday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They never let the Waterford Wildcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-0 on Thursday.

Alexander Quezada made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent; he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Mike Saaranzin, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Gustine pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Waterford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Gustine will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mariposa County at 4 p.m. Gustine's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Mariposa County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
