Gustine's winning streak snapped at eight games

MaxPreps

It was a good run, but the Gustine girls’ soccer team unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They and the Delhi Hawks finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

The result kept the Reds happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 6, 2024.

Gustine's draw gives them a new season record of 8-3-2. Meanwhile, Delhi's record is now 6-5-1.

Gustine will challenge Denair at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Denair had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They never let the Wildcats onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Coyotes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Denair's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games.

Orestimba girls’ soccer finishes even with Escalon

MaxPreps

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Orestimba was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. Neither they nor the Escalon Cougars could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Orestimba's draw makes their record 6-7-2 this season. Meanwhile, Escalon's record is now 3-6-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sonora the next time they take the pitch. Escalon will host Sonora at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Orestimba will head out to face them at 5:45 p.m. on January 24th.
